House Update #8

The house is slowly coming together. We're still hoping to be in the end of January.
The hardwood was laid last week -it's kind of hard to see 'cause it's really dirty.

Kitchen!

We love the rock on the house but it looks totally different than I expected. All of a sudden the shakes don't match. The shakes and all the trim won't be painted until Spring so I have time to decide what color the shakes should be - maybe a light grey?

Ally's New Bike

Shortly before Christmas, Warren bought Ally a dirtbike. I think he was a little disappointed I didn't want to put it under the Christmas tree :) It will be interesting to see what Ally does with it in the Spring!

Christmas '10

Quick recap of Christmas:
Spent a lovely brunch with Van Orman's at Ryan and Nicoles on Christmas Eve. Made it to Redcliff by 5pm for my Mom's amazing Christmas Eve Dinner. Spent Christmas morning at my Dad's, lunch at my Mom's and back to Dad's again for a tasty Christmas Day meal! Boxing Day was spent with Van Orman's eating the best Lasagna ever!
Grace refused to sleep at night and at one point Nathan (my little bro.) and Megan (my wonderful sister-in-law) and I were crushing Ibuprofen into pudding/ice cream/applesauce, trying to get Gracie to eat it. She had woken up with a fever and couldn't sleep. Me, being the world's most prepared Mom, did not bring any kid medicine with me. Good thing Megan had a thermometer so we could make an accurate diagnosis. Ahh, good times.
Overall, we enjoyed great company, some skating, fantastic food and lots of presents!
