Winter Fun!

 

Grace and I have joined Ally and Warren skiing this year.  The picture below was taken at The Red Deer Canyon ski hill.

 

On Saturday we took the girls skiing at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.  We got there nice and early as Nicole and Ryan were nice enough to let us sleep at their house :)

They have "magic carpets" that take you up the smaller hills. This was Grace's third time skiing and she cried after she fell the first time.  After that she decided going fast and falling wasn't all that bad.  A couple of times I had to yell "pizza, pizza" (snowplow to slowdown and stop) and then grab her by her jacket.  She was not at all scared of going fast.  Ally is very cautious but not afraid to go down the bigger hills.  Amazing how two girls can be so different!

 



Christmas 2012

 

We spent Christmas Day at home again this year and loved it!  Karen, Richard and Janae joined on us on Christmas Eve.  That evening the girls unwrapped their new jammies, the game of Charades and a photobook that I had made of 2012.

 

Jordan, Cydney and Gus joined us Christmas Day and Ryan and Nicole came for Christmas Dinner on Boxing Day.  It was so much fun to have family at our house!

 

My goal was to take more (and better) pictures this year.  So far, not so good!  I don't even have a picture of most family members :(

 

Since the girls did not write a letter to Santa this year, he didn't know what to bring them!  So he brought them the Magical Castle Playmobile.  The girls didn't even know what playmobile was but it's a hit.  They spend hours a day playing with it.

 

 

Good thing Grace took a picture of the tree!

 

On the 27th, we headed down to Redcliff.  This is the best picture taken the whole Christmas season!
