Camping in Drumheller

In July we went camping with the Van Orman side of the family. We spent a few days in Drumheller enjoying the Tyrell Museum, Reptile World, the pool, dirbiking outside of town, hiking the hoodoos and eating lots of yummy food! The mosquitos had lots of yummy food as well as they feasted upon us...... At least we had sun!!

New House

Our new house has finally been started!

The girls have a great time visiting the building site. Typical that my girls would want to climb "the mountain" with Ally in a skirt and Grace in a pink dress.

Bluebell

Bluebell

This is bluebell. She is the replacement fish for Lilac. Sadly, Lilac died - although, in our defense, we think there was something wrong with her as she wouldn't eat when we brought her home.....

Summer Fun

Canada Day!

Old's celebrated Canada Day at Centennial Park. We had fun walking around with Ally's little friends, Leah and Caryis.

There were bouncers, free cupcakes, local dancers and bands as well as lots of kiddie games.

If I could figure out how to post videos, I'd show the one of Gracie going down this huge slide! She was so excited to do it but was a little bit hesitant at the top. Once she was down she cried because she wanted to go again.

Ally and Leah had lots of fun sliding down this little waterslide :)

Bike

Warren and I really like to bike but we couldn't figure out how to with 2 kiddies. Grace, of course, could ride in her bike trailer but Ally is way too big this year.

So when I saw this neat "ride-along" bike I bought it. It works great! Ally can pedal or she can just sit and enjoy the ride. We can actually bike for about an hour before she gets tired.

Lilac the Fish

Ally has been hounding us to get her a pet! Finally we caved in a bought a Betta fish.
Betta fish are fed every other day, they like their water changed every few weeks and don't require an aquarium. Sounds like an easy pet to me! Ally has named her Lilac (it's actually a 'he' - the female Betta's aren't pretty colors) but we refer to Lilac as a 'she.'

We thought Lilac was dead a couple of times but now we just think she "freezes" everytime we come into the room :) Betta fish are suppose to live 2-3 years so we'll see how we do!
