Ally's Piano Recital

Aunt Janae took these beautiful pictures of Ally at her first piano recital.  Ally played "Indian Dance."  It's the first song she actually practiced...alot.  The ice cream eating was the after-recital reward :)

Golden, BC

We made a recent trip to Golden, BC to go camping.  We went with three other couples and between the four families, there were 15 kids under the age of 10.  The girls had a ton of fun.

Ally took this picture while having lunch at the Tourist Centre in Kananaskis on the way home.  This picture was suppose to show how busy the Centre was.  There were trailers, cars and RV's everywhere!

Mother's Day Weekend

I had the best Mother's Day weekend ever!  I felt the need to extend Mother's Day to a full weekend :)  Friday night and most of Saturday, Warren slaved away building me the most beautiful raised garden beds (He also took a huge load to the dump, worked on the fence and shoveled compost out of the truck for me :)  I can't wait to plant asparagus, carrots, lettuce, peas, beans, zuchinni, strawberries and raspberries next week!  On the actual "big day,"  Warren made me eggs, toast and a smoothie.  We enjoyed all three meals on the patio.  My gift this year was two lounge chairs for the deck.  Ally was not as pleased with the gift as she always thinks jewellry is the right gift.  Smart girl.

We also bought the girls a trampoline and set it up this weekend.  Warren was an extremely busy guy!  So far we've only had two or three injuries on the trampoline.  Not bad for the first day.  The girls enjoyed playing "tag" with two soccer balls on the trampoline.  It's kinda big and kinda ugly but we think it will result in hours of entertainment!

April Fools 2012

This year I decided to trick Ally on April Fools Day.  I made her "jello" juice, yogurt and peach eggs and just 'ole regular toast.  Doesn't it look real?????

Our neighbors are better than yours....

This picture was taken about a month and a half ago but I'm a little slow when it comes to blogging :)

In the picture, it looks as though the Town of Olds is clearing our street, right?  Not so.  These are actually two of our neighbors who brought their own tractors to clear our street 'cause the Town certainly wasn't going to!



Ally's Birthday Present

For Ally's birthday she really wanted her ears pierced. She asked me every day for a whole week. So, I booked the appointment, picked her up from school and reminded her she didn't have to go through with it :) She was so tough! She has not once complained about her ears hurting. Two and a half weeks later, they still look good.  She has to keep them in for 2 months.  Future present ideas - earrings and lots of them.  This girl likes her bling :)
