Butterfield Acres

 

We met Aunt Nicole and cousins Elise and Sophie at Butterfield Acres in Calgary.  It was fun to see all the animals.  This trip made Ally wish even more that we lived on a farm ;)

 

 

 

Elise Lily Rose Van Orman

 

Our newest niece, Elise Lily Rose, was born on March 11th at 10:32 pm, weighing 8 lbs 2 ounces.  As this now makes 4 little girl birthdays all within weeks of each other,

we are going to have one heck of a pink birthday party next year!  :)

 

Since Elise took about three days to decide to come into this world, I had the priviledge of spending quality time with Sophie and Hunter.  Sophie even came home with us one night.  Ally loved it and can't wait for another "cousin sleepover."

Ally had a "pajama-late night-pizza eating-nail painting-movie watching" party!

I found a nail art kit that had jewels, stickers and glitter.  The girls had fun getting all glammed up (in their Pj's) and then watching Ice Age in the basement. 

Grace's 5th Birthday Party

 

Grace has never had a "friend" birthday party so this year we invited three little girls. The party was based on a book called, "Tina Cocolina" where a little girl needs to find her cupcake topping.  I highly recommend it :)

Whitefish 2013

 

We took a great trip to Whitefish, Montana last week.  We met up with the Ellis's, Parkin's, Ord's and Chile's for a week of skiing at Big Mountain :) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Half the mountain was covered in fog that day. It is a huge mountain!  I took two chair lifts up one day and thought I had made it to the top.  Warren later pointed out that I had not made it to the top of the mountain and that a third chair lift was needed to go to the very top. I figured I had been high enough!

From the looks of Grace in these pictures, you'd never guess we had just been to a yummy bakery for cupcakes.

 

 

The girls swam in the pool almost every evening. 

 

Cheap gas, cheap chicken ($1.89lb), cheap cheese (2 lbs for $5.50) and liquor in the grocery store!  I actually brought back $50 worth of chicken and 4lbs of cheese :)

 

And what is a trip to the States without some Mexican food!

The drive back was eventful.  This is Crowsnest Pass and it was only going to get worse.  We tried to get a hotel in Fort McLeod only to be told the hotels were full there and also in Granum, Claresholm, Nanton and the Hwy was closed to High River.  We backtracked and stayed at a Hotel 8 in Lethbridge.  Crazy storm!
