Big Girls

Ally has discovered reading for fun. It's great but a bit of a problem as she wants to read while eating, and instead of playing with Grace and going to sleep at night.  I thought the phase would end when she was through the series she is reading but on our last trip to the library, we discovered there are about 40 books in the series.  I just need to teach Grace to read and we could spend the entire summer on lounge chairs on the deck reading!! 

 

 

Haircut

 

Gracie refuses to let a hairdresser cut her hair so I cut her hair!  A sucker and Dora is all that's required for me to work my magic ;)

 

 



Last Day of Pre-Kindergarten

 

Grace's last day of pre-kindergarten was last week and all I took was one lousy, fuzzy picture.  They had done face painting at the school.  I can't believe our baby will be in kindergarten in 2 short months!

Camping Trip #1 - Westward Ho

 

We finally went on our first camping trip of 2013.  We camped for two nights at Westward Ho in Sundre with Ryan and Nicole.  It was nice and close and gave us both a chance to test out our new trailers.  Unfortunately I only took 2 pictures.....At least the pictures are of the cutest people in the campground. 

 

 

 

Golf!

 

Grace is the proud new owner of golf clubs - pink ones, of course. 

She's not sure she loves golf yet but Warren has high hopes :)

 

Butterfield Acres

 

We met Aunt Nicole and cousins Elise and Sophie at Butterfield Acres in Calgary.  It was fun to see all the animals.  This trip made Ally wish even more that we lived on a farm ;)

 

 

 

Elise Lily Rose Van Orman

 

Our newest niece, Elise Lily Rose, was born on March 11th at 10:32 pm, weighing 8 lbs 2 ounces.  As this now makes 4 little girl birthdays all within weeks of each other,

we are going to have one heck of a pink birthday party next year!  :)

 

Since Elise took about three days to decide to come into this world, I had the priviledge of spending quality time with Sophie and Hunter.  Sophie even came home with us one night.  Ally loved it and can't wait for another "cousin sleepover."
